Unkown Family Drama
MD is a large family dramaSpecifically dramatic for MD is that symptones get worse from one generation to next. As the desease is typically only diagnosed once more severe symptones arise, by that time the deasease is typically wide spread through extended families.
Problem of being unkown
Despite the large number of people with MD, there desease is very much unkown amongst the general public as wekk as care providers. This has very real-life concequences:
- Late diagnoses (resulting in: further spread within families and inadequate care)
- Insufficient fundraising, and thus
- Insufficient research
